UCI Cyclocross World's Master's

February, 2013 Louisville, Kentucky

A great time was had at this years World Championships for Cyclocross in Louisville, KY.
I've been racing (aka, weekend sufferfests) for the last three years, nothing serious but tonnes of fun.

A few of us from the GearHeads Petawawa team wanted to see Marianne Vos in the flesh and few other's wanted to see Sven Nys in the flesh, so we decided to register ourselves within the Master's categories and give it a shot.

Here are my results:

Above all, it was a superb learning experience and humbling all at the same time. Conditions were incredibly cold (-8 Celsius) and muddy!
This was what you had to look forward too as the starting buzzer went off!  It was an incredible sensation, having mud flying all over the place and into every hole in your body.
The muddiest starts ever
